Valérie Delfosse is an independent expert specializing in modern, post-war, and contemporary art.
After four years at the Meessen De Clercq gallery in Brussels, she worked for nearly ten years as a contemporary art specialist at Sotheby’s Brussels & Luxembourg. There, she developed extensive expertise in acquisitions and sales, collection management, and valuations.
In 2022, she founded her own consultancy, Valerie Delfosse Art Advisory, focusing on modern and post-war art. Her practice is supported by an international network and guided by a transparent and rigorous approach.
She is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Experts in Works of Art and, more recently, has joined the Flemish Government’s pool of art experts.
Fluent in French, Dutch, and English, she holds a master’s degree in art history from KU Leuven and went on to complete a Master's degree in contemporary art in London (SIA) and management in Antwerp (UAMS).
