One of the major projects within our collaboration is the audit of the Belfius Art Collection and the actions arising from it. It is in this context that we have advised on the strategic selection and sale of works from the collection, presented at Native Auction in Brussels.
Our role included defining which works would be offered for sale, structuring the sale strategy, and acting as an intermediary in negotiations between the auction house and the client, with the objective of securing the best possible results while respecting the collection’s long-term vision.
The Old Master section featured significant paintings by Roelandt Savery and Theodoor van Thulden, underscoring the historical strength of the selection.
The Modern & Contemporary Art chapter traced a confident trajectory through the 20th century, highlighted by a lifetime cast bronze sculpture by Alexander Archipenko, conceived in 1913, and a striking Plaster Surrogate installation by Allan McCollum.
A focused selection of design works—primarily by Jules Wabbes and Emiel Veranneman—completed the presentation, reinforcing the dialogue between fine art and design.
